What is a backlink worth?

It depends on the site. On 3way the price grows with Domain Rating and traffic: in most niches a link insertion on a DR 40 site with 12,000 monthly visits costs a buyer 106 credits, about $57, and the niche and link type change it from there.

Deals on 3way are settled in credits. Bought by card, credits cost $0.55 each in small amounts and down to $0.52 when you buy 5,000 or more; a cash-out pays $0.45 per credit at today's rate, and the app always shows the current rate. Euro amounts use the ECB reference rate. Many members never pay money at all: they earn credits by placing links.

The link value is what the site's owner earns. The buyer pays that plus the platform fee: 10% of the link value, at least 10 credits.

Ahrefs shows DR, also in its free authority checker, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs or Semrush estimate traffic. 3way looks both up for every site on the platform.

A rating of how spammy a site looks, from 1 (best) to 100, which 3way checks for every site. Sites up to 30 can trade on the platform. The calculator lowers the value by the score's percentage, or leaves it as it is if you don't enter one.

By default, 1.5 times the link insertion price on the same site. Site owners can set their own guest post price between the link value and twice the link value.
